Q: Where is Downtown Challenge held at?
A: The event takes place on the lane closure outside Downtown Gallery, 6 Shenton Way, S068809
Q: Who can participate?
A: Adults from 14 years old onwards can participate in the challenge; while a kids’ course is available for children from 4 to 13 years old.
Q: How much per ticket for adult and children?
A: Ticket is selling at $20 per adult and $10 per child. The ticket admission includes a $10 Downtown Gallery cash voucher and an event t-shirt. While stocks last.
Q: How can I get to Downtown Gallery by public transport?
A: By train, alight at Tanjong Pagar station and take Exit B. By taxi, head towards 6 Shenton Way, Singapore 068809. The drop off point at Downtown Gallery will be closed for this event. You may choose to drop off at SGX taxi stand just next to the event.
Q: Where can I park my car?
A: Hourly parking is available at both the multi-storey carpark (Downtown 2) and basement carpark (Downtown 1), through Maxwell Link. Saturday Rates: $2.57 per half hour (from 7am to 12.59pm) and complimentary parking from 1pm onwards.
Q: What time is the event?
A: The event is from 9am to 3pm, with a break from 12nn to 1pm. Last entry to participate will be at 2.30pm.
Q: Can I register on the day of the event?
A: Yes, you may proceed to the Downtown Gallery Concierge to register (via Peatix). However, slots are limited on the event day so book your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
Q: Can I cancel my booking once entered?
A: Unfortunately, you are not able to cancel the booking once confirmed.
Q: How many obstacles are there to complete?
A: There are 6 obstacles for both adults and children
Q: What do finishers get?
A: Participants who finish the course in one run will receive a special Downtown Challenge finisher dog tag. While stocks last.
Q: What happens if it rains? Do we get a refund?
A: The event will continue rain or shine. No refund will be provided.
Q: Will there be food and drinks provided during Downtown Challenge?
A: Yes. Participants will be offered drinks during the event. From 10.30am to 2.30pm, participants can enjoy exclusive DIY food and drinks at OUE Social Kitchen (#03-02). Parent and child team can also sign up for complimentary "Kids Fun Day" pancake-making class at the same venue. Limited pancake-making slots only; pre-booking of slots available at OUE Social Kitchen at 10am on the event day. (Pancake session 1: 11am to 12.30pm. Pancake session 2: 1.30pm to 3pm.)
Q: Do you have medics on standby in case of emergency?
A: Yes. There are medics on standby throughout the event.
Q: Can we try again if we can’t complete the challenges?
A: There is no maximum number of attempts, but you are only entitled to one Finisher dog tag.
